I'm trying to squeeze another trip in, can someone give me some idea about conditions at and around Smuggers' Notch? I'm coming from Philly and would hate to waste my time. Thanks so much.

Look at the weather--ice is likely done for this year after this week.

It was looking good yesterday, Ragnarock and Elephants gully were in, and so were several climbs across the notch. I'm not to familiar with the area but there is definitely a lot to get done at the moment.

Today would have been okay--sloppy and gross, I don't like 'spring' conditions anyway--but tonight it is only getting to thirty and then there are NO below freezing temps in the 10 day forecast--but there is rain. It's done, stick a fork in it.

Soloed up Hidden yesterday; lower pitches became crux because of mixed, sketch conditions. Blue room, Dave's, and Ragnarock were rapidly crumbling across the notch, it was awesome. Still lots of climbing up high on west side.
