Hilyer was fantastic yesterday. I bet the side lines in Viola are good. On Wednesday the Kitchen had a bunch of climbable lines but the floor of the area was water filled Bridal Veil was a raging waterfall which means the other ones are waterfalls Lower Dark Side was a bit blown out. Moores has climbable lines. The gully was lead by me yesterday. The other stuff I would only top rope. Asbestos had a few top ropeable lines. Prolly be cooked by the end of the day today. Good luck! Does anyone have any information on the conditions in the Catskills after the rain and warm temperatures this week? We are looking for some options ahead of the weekend. I know Friday is supposed to be cold and dry but it doesn't seem like enough time to repair the damage from this week. Thank you very much, V
I'll put it to you like this. I just drove through the Catskills and did a very through look at everything. Mountain Skills Climbing Guides has cancelled all ice climbing activities in the Catskills this weekend.
