Things have really improved in ice climbingland for the Catskills.

The Notches are good, Dark Side is good, Kitchen, Hillyer, Viola, all look to have good climbable, leadable lines. Even a bunch of things that don't normally come in are looking good.

The creek crossing for Buttermilk isn't frozen but I bet it's doable. Not sure of the Platte Clove waterfalls or the Black Chasm, Moores is thin, Asbestos is thin, Herdman is thin, Hobo is thin.

Palenville Corner is completely different from now on. A large rock fall is totally altered the climb. Might be harder from the looks of it.

Buttermilk Falls (1-24) - all pitches leadable but not with a lot of options. Cream Separator is almost there. Could be lead with a delicate touch right now. The last pitch right side pillar is forming well and could be good soon if people stay off it. Stream crossing easy. Had the place to ourselves today.
