Buttermilk Falls, Single or Double Ropes

    Generally prefer double ropes ice climbing but remembering may be overkill for buttermilk falls in the Cats. Any opinions? can all the raps be done with single 60m?

    Yes. No need for anything longer than a 45m rope on BMF. Also, know that the top-most pitch can we walked off by going 300 ft or so to climbers' right. Descend next lower flow to climbers' left.

    You can just use one of your half rope and double it over. I don't remember any pitch that's longer than 100 ft.
