Beal presents the very lightest double rope. Its extremely low impact force is excellent news for less-than-perfect belay points in ice and on mixed routes. A trump card that no alpinist can ignore. Pros:	light!!
Cons:	light!!

this is my second set! me likes a lot!! the best part is the one over one sheath construction for h2o! it stays drier longer imo, after using blue water excellence 8.6 (which i really like as well and almost bought these instead)for a few seasons i was really sold on the sheath construction. sure two over two my indeed be more durable but i'd rather have drier ropes!! after all you should be replacing you ropes b4 they wear out...no?
lots of stretch means longer, softer falls which is good for that suspect gear that we clip!!
for 80% pure ice climbing (ie. on ice gear)these ropes are very nice!!
not for big guys taking many falls! or mixed lines you may want to use a single corde for.
these also make a nice year round tag line.(new or retired!)
the mountaineer in keene valley also stocks these rope
