Description: The Blizzard Harness excels in cold environments. It has a wider fit range than our other climbing harnesses, accommodating several layers of clothing for colder temps. Adjustable leg loops will fit over boots and crampons while still allowing for all-season use. Its bullhorn-shaped waistbelt helps minimize the suffer factor on multi-pitch hanging belays and modern mixed testpieces. Constructed from closed-cell foam, the Blizzard doesn’t absorb water. Comes equipped with eight Ice Clipper slots for customized racking and includes one Ice Clipper that’s great for racking ice screws.

Pros: Comfortable. Plenty of adjustment for winter. Ice clippers and slotted holders for them. Price
Cons: Waist buckle could be larger.

Picked one up toward the end of summer. Used it several times on the rock. Found it comfortable with plenty of adjustment for waist and leg loops. Really liked the ice clippers and the slotted holders for them.Harness comes with one and I added two more for plenty of gear. I have started to rack of the harness vs. a sling this year and it was nice having the extra gear loops.
Only complaint is the main buckle. It could be larger so doubling back is easier with cold fingers.

Pros: reasonable price, comfortable, easy adjustments
Cons: leg loops tend to ride up on rappel

I wanted to love this harness as it replaced an old Metolius freedom 3-D which was less than ideal for the frozen steeps, but became quickly disenchanted with the leg loops while rapelling my first route. No matter how tight I cranked these puppies down and tightened up the leg loop straps on the back...they still tended to ride up causing real discomfort and pinching on the hamstrings! This does not occur every time I use them, but more times than I care for. Other than this particular oddity, the harness is comfortable, user friendly, easy to rack and unrack gear, and utilizes sewn loops in the belt to accomodate the ice clippers which are a godsend! Overall, this is a very solid product.
