supersize

Description: New version of the competition crampon, a world first with rear oriented points, for added grip on ice. The curved shape of the rear fits modern ice climbing boots perfectly and the base adjusts automatically to suit totally flat or slightly curved soles. The two front points, hot forged for the best quality possible, have been redesigned to be used in dual or mono point mode: with specific lengths and angles for both possibilities. The necessary transformation parts are included in the pack. No more need to ask: mono or dual? Both requirements can be satisfied in this model! The crampons are delivered with the Antibott included.

Pros: great
Cons: It is a pain in the buttocks to convert them from mono to dual

Tired of the pseudo analytical gear review I see here (word for word from climbing mags its frightening even the lingo is the same)
Anyway, great crampons for ice ya can hookem on a pillar (back pointing points) and the metal Grivel uses (Chromo 4140?) seems to be more flexi-soft. so unlike other poons, it provides more friction with the rock on a mix crap…well this is maybe brain fart but they stick better then the M-10 I have. I like them ALLOT better

Pros: Solid feel, incredible bite and security with the significant secondary points unlike most other crampoons.
Cons: Snowballing in wet conditions when hiking off the top must be paid close attention to.

I wish my BD Bionics had secondaries like the RamboComp. I don't do mono, am 200 lbs., and like to sink 4 teeth, which these poons do very well.

Maybe I would give up the hooking points for some intermediate points, like on some of the newer Evolution designs, cuz these are not made for side-stepping, but the sign says "comp", so they are optimized for Grade 5 and up, and comps.

I lost one of mine and sincerely miss the other.

Pros: mono or dual, pack well, easily adjustable
Cons: weight, heel bail fixture

a good crampon for advanced climbers, specific to waterfall ice, rear facing secondaries generally more of a hinderance than advantage for beginner or intermediate climbers, crampon not adept to alpine situations. one experience with heel bail popping from sizing holes while climbing, be careful to ensure orientation of the tips of these bails where they come through underneath the crampon will not pop out. all that said, i've climbed on a few different models of crampons (duals) and never thought there was much difference in those models specifically designed for waterfall ice.
