Fusion

Description: Buy it at the Mountaineer.

Designed for the acrobatic movements of competition and M-climbing, not multi-pitch Grade 3, the leashless Fusion excels on rock where it can stick and hold the tiniest of micro-edges. Scratchy slopers, blade cracks, verglas and choss pockets get the same treatment from the Fusion’s curved shaft and angled pick. A patented, adjustable grip with sticky rubber allows for a customized feel and reduces fatigue whether you are climbing bare-knuckled or with gloves. When changing grip positions from lower to upper, its extremely stable pick geometry prevents the pick from popping off holds. Comes with a Fusion pick that is ultrastrong and specifically designed for hooking and torquing.

*Extremely stable pick geometry when changing grips
*Patented adjustable grip for customized hand fit
*Tip of pick hooks and holds on the tiniest edges
*Thick, serrated pick designed for stein pulls and torquing

Pros: Nice swing and light-weight. Excellent stability while matching hands
Cons: bottom of the handle comes loose. Fixed the problem with a similar product to lock-tite.

This tool climbs very well on mixed ground and on ice. As with most leashless tools, you'll probably want to put a type of sticky tape on it.
If you're climbing ice, it's mandatory to swap the picks to Laser and file the teeth a tiny bit, otherwise they will get stuck. I love these tools for matching hands and getting ice placements seems even better than with my Quarks. I do wish they had a pick at the bottom of the handle for steep neve' and french technique when topping out or on approaches.
The bottom handle allows nicely for hanging on even with your last ounce of finger strength.
I'd recommend them over the Ergo's.
