Step-in crampon compatible La Sportiva MPE soles provide an aircushion ride on the trail and aggressive traction on rock and snow. An Aramide reinforced four-way stretch ankle cuff and hinged abrasion resistant ankle/achilles insert keep the Lhotse flexible enough to climb pied à plat like a French alpine guide yet supportive enough to handle endless front pointing on vertical and overhanging ice.
