Author Post a Reply  chertik member Registered: Thu Oct 27, 2005 Posts: 22 Review Date: Mon Sep 29, 2008 Recommend? yes | Price paid: Not Indicated | Rating: 7    Pros: light, durable, slim profile Cons: few pocket/strap options, buckles This pack served me great while I had it but I did end up upgrading to something a bit bigger (check out Cilo packs). It is very light and durable and climbs well due to its narrow profile. Unfortunately it is a bit of a pain to pack because of how narrow it is. The expendable sleeve does work well and I've even taken this on 3 day solo trips but it's not ideal for that. The crampon attachment is hard to trust - I much prefer a pouch but that may be a personal preference. What annoyed me and made me eventually switch packs however, were the small buckles on this pack - a pain to use in winter with gloves on. I do think now you can now find these packs for under a 100 and it is a great pack for quick trips to the ice.
