Description: Buy it at the Mountaineer.

A classic 12-point crampon designed for general mountaineering, alpinism, mixed ice and rock climbing, and moderate waterfall routes. The four points that are perpendicular to the crampon rails, prevent shearing in soft snow and improve security while descending (facing outward). The crampons are fully adjustable by hand, without tools and one size fits all. G12 is easily folded for transportation.

Pros: Cramp-o-matic version: Ease of fit and the primary & secondary points all felt they were where they needed to be
Cons: Price

See Pros:

Also, walking in them was no problem even over rock etc. Didn't use anti-bot plates and didn't need them.

Pros: simple, bomber, versatile, fit to boots
Cons: weak on vertical ice

As far as general mountaineering crampon goes, this is the best. Top-notch quality, perfect fit on my nepals, and it can handle anything, though on vertical ice it is easily outdone by something with a little more teeth (g-14). For beginners getting into ice, i would highly reccomend this crampon, as it got me through my first season.
