Description: shot on Friday from Reign back in Feb, Sat Matthew Wikswo and I did the Gent. Wo led the first and third pitches, both in impressive no holds barred style. I experienced my golly - glad I didn't have to lead moments. In turn, I took the traverse pitch which turned out to be one of my most favorite leads ever - very alpine, and the final pitch, straight forward 4ish with lots of water.

Description: Still good ice in the Notch. Some rare forming routes are in. Above the Y at upper center of the photo, 'Dominatrix' is in as an ice route. Thin and aerated at the crux, but looks very doable.

Description: Well this is the only proof we have. Larry and I rapped back to the ledge and Matt just started to rap. All hell broke loose! Tons and Tons of water cut loose at very high pressure over the big wall for about ten minutes. It was just ten feet to our right. I cant explain what it was like, just terrifying. We were planning to rappel one hundred feet over in that direction. If we were a few minutes ahead we would of been goners. We could not even go back that way because it was so wet and the ice so washed out. So we had a totally epic rapper down the big wall with stuck ropes hanging belays and all. Our 70 meter ropes are now about 30 meters.

Description: The photo is very deceiving. Its a full 70meter pitch. Starts off with some insecure slab climbing with not much gear then gets VERY VERY steep. It is some of the steepest i have climbed in a long time if not ever. Matt Elliott led this pitch and did a great job. Photo Larry B.
