It got down to 26F on Mt. Washington last night...was anyone up there wandering around at 3a.m. to see if there was ice?

Any bets on this year's date of the first "frosty" ascent of Pinnacle?

I'd say, hmmmmm Nov5? Last year was nov. 6. One can hope for an october ascent like in fall '03. Maybe I should place my bet on a pre halloween ascent- Oct 29 it is then.

I'm still trying for my own personal preThanksgiving ascent of Pinnicle. So far the weather or free time have not worked together for me.

I'm just hoping that this year I can finally get on some ice before the last week of November. Living in Ontario is not great for early season ice. So here's hoping to mid-November ice in Tucks!

this weekend: 10/7-8, whichever one is drier, going to try rubble gully variations and the top of quartz crack. hope the hands stay warm, supposed to get down to 30s in the notch.
