Any of you up for picking a challange and then posting results here just for the motivation factor?

Randy mentioned once about doing as many pullups as you can in 30 minutes. I did this and it kicked my ass.

That is one suggestion.

If no one is up for it then so be it.

Hmm.. seems we were having similar thoughts as we both composed our most recent posts. Strange that we have a thought and say "I think", but we do not see a cloud and say "I cloud".

Pull-ups in 30 minutes - What do you want to do? Turn us into some sort of anerobic/aerobic monsters?

Help Crag climb a 12a or for that matter get back into regular 11a form. A constant struggle between motivation and time. Currently working on my V-0 project. Schit...at times I'm soooo desperate to climb something hard (ya know helps validate me.) that I've taken to wearing a fanny pack with 10Lbs in it when I work out at the gym (house of plastic) I suck! Young'ns just got back from the Gov Stable Boulder comp with stories to regal my sorry ass with. I'm thinking of bribing Trad to drag my sorry ass up COD at SENECA....wooh'z is me ~ please feel sorry for me I'm all most out of Scotch. HEY RAH! Mineral water (with tiny little bubbles) doesn't taste to bad with my Cask Condition...no I'm not a Sally....Cheers Mate. Did I mention that Rollies are phucking hard, anywho... I think GymJones is a Fag he won't let me join in the Reindeer games. So what if I can't dead lift a Mini…bastards! OK Crater I’m in what’s your game? (first let me sober up a little.)

I've only gotten my self into shape twice in the last 8-10 yr to do 10 up-and-down laps on my woodie. Doesn't sound like much but it's 14 ft tall and 35 degree overhanging, so it's a bit of a stamina test. Typically 8 moves each way, so 10 laps = 160 moves in a row. I'll stake my honor on being able to do 15 laps by, say, the 4th of July.

(But who's reading this forum in JULY??)

Lots of people check in occasionally - maybe we could request an off season rock forum?

Nice Mike I do not have a wall that I can lap on like that. But I will post my pullups. I don't think pullups are a good exercise for climbing but damn they are a workout, when done for 30 minutes.

yeah Crater..when I used to do that work out I told ya about I felt really good and strong then. Hopefully I can get motivated for that again for this coming season.

I agree that pullups themselves are sort of lmited for being good for climbing but it did seam to do alot for speeding up how fast I could recover after getting a serious pump and helped fight muscle fatigue.

Doing that work out them immediately folowed by some Rollies and then some light weight training I felt pretty good. Like I said, hopefully I will get the work out bug again this late summer or fall.
