Description: Tucked in the Northeast facing cleft at the
South end of the main face of Cannon lies this perennial favorite. Three
pitches: P1(150',WI2) Climb low angle slabs in the huge right facing corner
to fixed pins. P2(150',WI4,5.6) Climb left, up the ice runnel into the
steepening right facing corner; or, climb moderate rock directly above and
then left of fixed belay to join the corner above to fixed pins. P3(100',WI3)
Finish right, up ice bulges to the trees.
Gear: A modest alpine rock rack; a thin ice rack.
Descent: Hike around to the South along marked
trail; or, rappel from the fixed pins.
