      • Description:
I am selling my Trango extreme evo lights due to fit reasons. The toe box was not big enough. My toes felt smashed, but my heel did not feel secure. If I went down a size smaller my toes would feel crushed. Determined to make them work (mistake) I hiked in them a half a dozen times to try and dial in every sock combination to stop heel slippage, but I had no luck. I could not return them because I wore them outside (mistake). They have not even been on ice, because I bought the Nepal Evo's instead, which fit my feet much better. There are no crampon marks, scratches, or cracks. The boots have both a heel and front toe bail so they are fully crampon compatible. I am asking $275 or best offer for them shipped (price new $420). My name is Brian and you can email me at mr dot brian dot turk at gmail dot com. If you have any questions let me know.
        Thanks and Cheers, Brian

I'm interested but are they 45 or 11.5? I'm not trying to be a know it all but my Nepals are 44.5 which La Sportiva says is a 11.5 and 45 are 12's Do you feel if that the Trangos need to be sized up a 1/2 from the Nepals now that you worn both? Thanks! Bill

      Bill,

The trango's that I have are a size  11.5, euro 45.  I included the La sportiva sizing guide and it shows that a size 11 is a 44.5 and a 11.5 is a 45.  I am not sure why our boots sizing is different. If you look at the top sizing chart there is a little over lap that  might have caused the difference. http://www.sportiva.com/about/technology/sizing-boots-shoes

As far as fit goes. I wear a size 11 (44.5) in my street shoes and hiking boots. My  Nepal Evo's are also a size 11 (44.5) and they fit me great.  In my opinion the the Trango's have a narrower toe box.  When I tired to get this boot to fit I couldn't get my toes and heel to both be happy.  In the size 45 that I have now my toes were good, but I would get heel slippage. I tried to work that out with different sock combinations, but couldn't get a good fit.  If went down to a 44.5 in the Trango's my heel didn't slip, but my toes felt to tight due to a smaller toe box.  I ended up getting the 45, figuring a little bigger would be better, but I couldn't get the sock combination to work.  I didn't try insoles, because I have the Nepal Evo's and they fit me much better.  If you have narrow feet I think these will work, but if you have wider feet then I am not sure if you should go this route. Did my rambling make sense.  Let me know if you have any questions.

                Cheers, Brian
