  • Description:
I've gone to the dark side. I got the ski bug again and because every time I dragged out my old skinny skis my friends pointed and laughed at me, I purchased a new setup in March of 2011--new skis, boots, bindings and skins. This stuff is AWESOME in soft snow...effortless turns even in crust and crud, enough snap to make them really quick in the trees and they float like innertubes. Unfortunately I took a trip to AK on borrowed AT gear and decided I'd rather have a lightweight AT setup...so I am toying with trading this stuff in to purchase an AT rig for next winter. The skins are already trimmed, the skis/bindings were professionally mounted and have been skied on a total of 1 full day and maybe 6 or 7, 2-3 hour trips, all backcountry--bases and edges are great, topsheets have very minor aesthetic scuffs, the boots have been used exactly twice (the liners have been cooked once so they have plenty of life for you to heat-mold to your feet). I will consider selling the boots and the ski/binding/skin package separately for the right offer. 186 cm BD Drift skis http://www.blackdiamondequipment.com/en-us/shop/ski/alpine-touring-kit/drift-ski/ BD 01 bindings (with free pivot, midstiff) http://www.blackdiamondequipment.com/en-us/shop/ski/bindings/o1-binding If you haven't used a free-pivot binding, it allows you to tour or skin with zero resistance to lifting your heel...it's a huge energy saver. Then lock out the pivot for the descent. BD nylon ascension skins, trimmed to fit edge-to-edge Garmont Syner-G boots size 29 (mens 12-12.5. These fit most feet well, it's the newer ones that run narrow) http://www.garmontusa.com/621052211.html This is a sweet backcountry and powder package in pristine condition that would cost over $1700 new. Asking $1000 for the whole kit or $350 for the boots and $650 for just the skis/bindings/skins, plus actual shipping cost via UPS (OBO, although the price is very fair). I live in between Burlington and Montpelier, I could also do a in-person pickup if you prefer not to ship. Please send all inquiries to my email david.furman "at" hotmail.com
